Our school is dedicated to supporting every student’s communication skills through building their social and communication, speaking, listening and oracy skills. We use quality first teaching and ordinarily available inclusive provision (OAIP) to promote speech development within the classroom. If concerns about a child’s speech and language or communication persist, school will explore targeted support and interventions to promote speech development and communication skills within the classroom. We will also support parents with strategies and resources that you can support your child with at home too.
It may be appropriate for some children, to seek additional specialist support by referring to Trafford Speech and Language Therapy . By working closely with parents to combine all of these approaches, we create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive and confidently express themselves.
